India braced for more floods in Uttarakhand state as supplies run low

Northern India is bracing itself for further floods during what is believed to be the heaviest monsoon rains for 60 years.

At least 1000 people are thought to have died with more than 40,000 still said to be stranded in the mountains of Uttarakhand state.

Eight days after the emergency began, there are fears that emergency supplies of food and clean water are running short.
