Australian floodwaters 'cut-off ' cities

Australian authorities say huge swathes of Queensland could remain submerged underwater for weeks hampering recovery efforts after devastating floods.

The city of Rockhampton has been virtually cut-off by rising waters and is having supplies brought in by military aircraft.

Twenty-three towns are at least partly underwater with water levels expected to peak late in the next 36 hours.
