Japan earthquake: Rescue operation under way
Japan's rescue operation has started a day after the country was hit by a massive earthquake.
The quake was the country's strongest on record and it triggered a 10m (30ft) tsunami which devastated part of the coast, sweeping homes, cars and ships far inland and killing hundreds.
Many people climbed onto their rooftops where they waited to be rescued.
Hundreds are thought to be missing and officials warn the death toll could reach over 1,000.
