Rap video takes on ‘tampon tax’

The campaign against Australia's tax on feminine hygiene products - the so-called tampon tax - has ramped up with a new music video.

Drop It Coz It's Rot was directed by Sydney actor and producer Mia Lethbridge, and features a cameo from the prime minister's sister, Liberal party councillor Christine Forster.

Ms Lethbridge told the BBC it was "ridiculous" that women pay a 10% tax on sanitary products because they are not considered an essential item.
