Italy: 'No choice but to return to nuclear power'

Two decades after a referendum voted to close it down, Italy nuclear power industry is set to be reopened.

Sites are about to be named for eight new power stations. The government says that it has no choice if it is to cut back on CO2 emissions and provide enough electricity for the country's needs.

But opponents say the nuclear option is unsafe and that alternative renewable sources of power are available.
