French President Sarkozy attacks Roma row critics

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has publicly denounced criticism of his country's decision to expel Roma migrants.

Speaking at an EU summit in Brussels he said he was profoundly shocked the policy had been compared with deportations carried out during World War II.
