French reaction to Strauss-Kahn's release

The former head of the International Monetary Fund is expected to be released later after being granted bail of $1m by a court in New York.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn is facing seven charges of sexual assault and attempted rape of a hotel chambermaid.

He has been ordered to be kept under house arrest with electronic monitoring.

Mr Strauss-Kahn denies the charges. He was political heavyweight with ambitions for the highest office of president.

So how is his home country reacting to this most public of scandals?

Christian Fraser reports.
