Russia's Vladimir Putin to address party congress

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is to address members of the ruling United Russia party on Saturday, amid speculation that he may announce his intention to run for president in 2012.

Mr Putin stepped aside in 2008, allowing Dmitry Medvedev to take over, but many people believe Mr Putin has maintained control.
