Russia celebrates Vladimir Putin's birthday

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is marking his 59th birthday, with celebrations taking place all over the country.

But critics say the celebrations are a sign of Mr Putin's insecurity, suggesting his team feel pressured to produce positive images of him.
