Trichet: Euro is a credible currency

The outgoing president of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet, has insisted the euro is a "credible" currency.

In an interview with the BBC's Stephanie Flanders, Mr Trichet said the latest bailout deal was delivering financial stability to the eurozone.

But Mr Trichet added that some countries had "not behaved properly".
