Turkish forces end ferry hijack near Istanbul

Turkish security forces have shot dead a hijacker who seized a ferry off the coast east of Istanbul on Friday.

Anti-terrorist commandos stormed the vessel at dawn. Officials have said all 24 passengers and crew are safe after being held hostage for 12 hours.
