Czech statesman Vaclav Havel dies

Vaclav Havel, the Czech Republic's first president after the Velvet Revolution against communist rule, has died at the age of 75.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jiří Schneider said Mr Havel was a "uniting figure".
