Warm greeting for Prime Minister David Cameron at EU summit

UK Prime Minister David Cameron received a warm greeting from German Chancellor Angela Merkel and a handshake from French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the opening of the EU summit in Brussels.

Mr Cameron vetoed treaty changes involving all EU states, which were aimed at bringing about closer fiscal union within the eurozone to help tackle its debt crisis, at their last meeting in December.
