Pussy Riot verdict to be decided by Putin, says husband

A judge in Moscow is due to give her verdict later in the trial of three members of the Russian punk band, Pussy Riot.

The women sang a protest song in a cathedral, about President Putin.

They deny the charges against them.

Sir Paul McCartney is the latest singer to express support.

Pyotr Verzilov, husband of Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, told BBC World Service's Newsday programme that he believed the final decision would be made by Mr Putin himself.
