Russia to edit out 'unsuitable' material from children's cartoons
New legislation has come into effect in Russia requiring cuts to some cartoons broadcast during the daytime.
Scenes with material deemed unsuitable for children - such as characters smoking or drinking - will have to be edited out.
It means changes will have to be made to a number of classic cartoons which were made in the Soviet era but are still popular today.
