Pope Francis due to hold his first Angelus

Tens of thousands of people are expected to gather in St Peter's Square later to be blessed by the new Pope.

The pontiff will recite the Angelus prayer and address the crowd from the balcony of his apartment in the Vatican.

Pope Francis became head of the Roman Catholic Church on Thursday.
