Pope Francis gives first Sunday Angelus from Vatican

Pope Francis has delivered his first Angelus prayer and blessing before a crowd of thousands at the Vatican.

Earlier, he celebrated his first Sunday mass as pontiff in the Vatican's small and simple parish church.

Addressing the crowd before the prayer, he spoke of mercy and of God's forgiveness.
