'Cyprus Russians need money for their daily expenses'

It is estimated that about one half to a third of all Cyprus bank deposits are of Russian origin.

With strict limits on how much people can withdraw each day from cash machines and the country's banks due to reopen on Thursday, Vladimir Chizhov, Russian Envoy to the EU, tells the BBC's Newsnight programme that any Russians living in the eurozone's smallest economy should not need to try to get around capital controls.
