Deadline nears for French politicians to declare assets

The French Socialist government of Francois Hollande is in crisis after revelations that a former budget minister held undeclared accounts in Switzerland and Singapore.

Jerome Cahuzac has admitted he lied to Parliament for months about the accounts.

President Hollande has announced plans for a new law to clean up French politics and has given cabinet members until Monday to declare their assets.

Christian Fraser reports from Paris.
