Are German police 'blind' to Neo-Nazis?

The trial of Beate Zschaepe, accused of aiding in the murder of 10 people over a period of more than six years, is to begin in Germany.

Nine of the victims were of immigrant background, mostly Turkish.

The crimes were only connected with each other when the two men who pulled the triggers committed suicide. Zschaepe then gave herself up.

Berlin correspondent Steve Evans reports on accusations that the security services failed to realise there was a Neo-Nazi cell until it was too late - or that they did realise but did nothing about it.

Broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Monday 15 April 2013.
