Hopes of tourism boost at Gathering Ireland 2013

Tourism officials are hoping an initiative billed as a year-long celebration of Ireland will boost its fortunes since the collapse of the country's Celtic Tiger economy.

Gathering Ireland 2013 drew some initial negative reaction. With five months left to go, hopes are still high that the Irish diaspora will join in the festivities.
