EU Summit: 'Door to Ukraine is still open', says Merkel

The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, has said the door is still open for Ukraine to sign a deal on closer integration with the EU, at a summit taking place in Vilnius in Lithuania.

The summit is dominated by Ukraine's shock decision not to sign a far-reaching agreement.

Intense pressure from Moscow led Ukraine to pull out of the trade and reform deal that had been years in the making.
