Eurovision winner Ruslana shows support for Ukraine protesters

Ukrainian singer Ruslana, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004, has been at the European parliament in Strasbourg to show support for protesters in her home country.

Speaking to the BBC's Chris Morris, she said she wanted the EU to help Ukraine organise its democratic process ahead of elections due to take place in May.

Also known as a political activist, Ruslana has denied reports that she might become part of the next government.

Video footage from November 2013 shows her singing alongside protesters in Kiev.
