Marine Le Pen: National Front to 'defend France'

The French far-right National Front will use its mandate "to defend France" says party president Marine Le Pen.

After obtaining a preliminary 25% of the vote, Ms Le Pen described the rise of patriotic parties in Europe as "significant and remarkable".

She continued that her party would put pressure on French President Francois Hollande and fight "crazy measures like votes for immigrants".
