Tension in Ukraine despite peace deal hopes

Fighting is continuing in eastern Ukraine, despite suggestions from Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko that a truce deal could be struck with Russia.

Talks on a ceasefire including Ukraine, Russia and pro-Russia rebels are set to begin at lunchtime in Belarus.
