Ukraine: Elderly people left to find shelter underground in Donetsk

It is three months since a ceasefire was signed between the Ukrainian government and Russia-backed separatists in the east of the country.

However, according to the UN, over 1000 people have died since, including scores of civilians.

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled the conflict zone; the majority of those who remain are the old, poor and infirm.

Fergal Keane visited the front lines around the rebel stronghold of Donetsk, where some elderly people have been forced to seek shelter underground.
