France attacks: Police storm Kosher supermarket

Anti-terror forces have stormed a supermarket in eastern Paris where several hostages were being held by a gunman.

The gunman and four hostages died. It is not clear whether they were killed before or after the police assault on Hypercasher supermarket, near Porte de Vincennes, began.

The gunman at the supermarket is believed to be linked to two suspects thought to have killed 12 people at the offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine on Wednesday.

Brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi died in an assault on a warehouse where they had been holding a hostage north of Paris, which took place at the same time as the supermarket raid.

Lucy Williamson reports.
