Sharia4Belgium trial: Members of the group given jail sentences

A court in Belgium has ruled that a group calling itself Sharia4Belgium was a terrorist organisation supplying jihadist fighters to Syria and elsewhere.

All but one of the 46 people on trial were found guilty and given sentences, some suspended, of between three and 12 years.

The leader of the group, Fouad Belkacem, was given a 12-year term for radicalising and recruiting Muslim men, who were sent into battle in Syria and Iraq.

Duncan Crawford reports from Antwerp.
