EU migrants: Quota plan to be discussed by EU members

EU interior ministers are to discuss how to deal with tens of thousands of migrants trying to enter Europe each year by crossing the Mediterranean.

Italy is struggling to cope with the number of people arriving on its shores. Meanwhile, other European countries are tightening their border controls.
