IMF's Christine Lagarde 'wants to restore stability' in Greece
The Greek parliament is meeting to ratify a proposed national referendum on the bailout deal offered by the country's creditors after the prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, called the bailout conditions ''humiliating and unbearable''.
Mr Tsipras is due to meet eurozone finance ministers in Brussels to ask for a temporary extension to the current bailout - which expires on Tuesday - when it must pay the International Monetary Fund (IMF) the sum of €1.5bn ($1.7bn; £1.06bn).
Arriving at the meeting, the head of the IMF, Christine Lagarde, said she was willing to continue giving financial support to Greece - as long as the country played its part.
