Eurotunnel disruption: 'Lights went out. It was terrifying'

Thousands of cross-Channel passengers are stranded after striking Calais ferry workers closed the French port and blocked Eurotunnel rail services.

Tyres were set alight at the entrance of the Channel Tunnel near Calais by striking workers, who oppose proposed job cuts.

Anna-Marie Edwards, from Swindon, was stranded for two and a half hours with her family on the Eurotunnel shuttle.

She told the BBC that the lights and air conditioning had gone out and described the experience as terrifying.
