Calais migrant crisis: 'Britain remains the promised land'

Hundreds of migrants who have made the journey from North Africa to Italy, are currently in Calais in the north of France.

But for many, "Britain remains the promised land."

David Cameron has insisted that Britain will not become a "safe haven" for migrants in Calais, after a third night of large-scale attempts by people to cross the Channel Tunnel illegally.

The effect of the crisis continues; Operation Stack, which has seen lorries park on the M20 in Kent because of Channel Tunnel delays, is set to run into the weekend.

Christian Fraser reports.
