President Obama defends controversial EU trade deal

President Obama has been defending one of his landmark policies, a controversial new US-EU trade deal, in Hannover.

Tens of thousands in the city have been protesting against the proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).

Mr Obama says the agreement will increase jobs and growth, but opponents saying it is undemocratic, and will push down wages.
