Chile's Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano - up close
New footage of Chile's Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano shows the ferocity of the explosions that are sending clouds of ash up into the sky and causing widespread travel disruption across south America, Australia and New Zealand.
In areas near the volcano in Chile, about 4,000 people have been evacuated from their homes.
The main international airports in Argentina and Uruguay have also been closed - threatening a delay to the start of the continent's football championship, Copa America, in Argentina next month.
