Venezuela presidential election: Capriles demands recount
Socialist Nicolas Maduro, hand-picked successor of the late leader Hugo Chavez, has won a narrow victory in Venezuela's presidential poll with 50.7% of the vote.
However opposition candidate Henrique Capriles, who won 49.1% of the vote, said he would not recognise the result, "until each Venezuelan vote is recounted".
Mr Maduro said: "They can do whatever audit they want to do - we trust in the Venezuelan electoral system."
