The Peruvian woman who underwent forced sterilisation

In the late 1990s, a family planning programme was launched in Peru which included quotas for sterilisation. Many rural women were targeted and sterilised without their consent. Here is one woman's story, left anonymously on the Quipu project, which was set up to gather testimony of these enforced sterilisations.
