Military forces 'open fire' on protesters in Bahrain
Bahraini security forces have opened fire on unarmed anti-government protesters, says opposition MP Dr Jasim Husain.
The protesters were fired on after they had streamed into the centre of the capital Manama from the funerals of protesters killed in a security crackdown earlier this week.
Witnesses said the army fired live rounds and tear gas - doctors at the main city hospital say more than 100 people were brought there needing treatment.
Speaking from Manama, Dr Husain said King Hamad needs to inform the public that the army will not be violent.
