Bahrain: Among the crowds in Manama's Pearl Square
Thousands of anti-government protesters in Bahrain have re-entered Pearl Square in Manama, the focal point of recent protests in the capital.
Earlier the military withdrew from the streets, leaving the way clear for police to fire tear gas and shotgun cartridges at the demonstrators before they also left.
The BBC's Caroline Hawley described the atmosphere as "festive" and spoke to protesters in the square who said they were determined to stay for as long as necessary.
