Footage appearing to show Syrian protesters in Homs amid gunfire

Footage has emerged apparently from the Syrian town of Homs, where security forces opened fire on protesters on Friday.

British nationals have been urged to leave Syria because of the civil unrest in the country.

Violence between protesters opposed to Syria's leadership and the security forces has flared across the country in recent weeks.

The video shown is said to have been shot in Homs, but cannot be independently verified by the BBC.
