Gaddafi spokesman on Tripoli: 'Nato is attacking a peaceful city'

Libyan Information Minister Moussa Ibrahim has said ''Nato is attacking the heart of a peaceful civilian city'' as rebel forces roll into Tripoli.

The rebels have now reached the city centre.

Mr Ibrahim said fighting in Tripoli since noon (10:00 GMT) on Sunday had left 1,300 people dead and 5,000 wounded, and added that hospitals could not cope with the casualties.
