Aid chief Baroness Amos 'devastated' by visit to Homs

The UN humanitarian chief Baroness Amos has told reporters she was "devastated" by what she saw in Homs, during a visit to Syria.

Earlier, a Syrian deputy oil minister resigned his post to join the revolt against the government. Abdo Hussameddin, 58, announced his defection in a video posted on YouTube.
