Britain, Australia, France and Germany expel Syrian officials
Britain has just announced the expulsion of three senior Syrian diplomats in response to the worsening violence there. Australia, France and Germany have also expelled Syrian officials.
The move comes as an investigation by the United Nations into the massacre in Houla found that most of the 108 people killed were executed.
This morning, the UN special envoy, Kofi Annan, held talks in Damascus with President Assad.
Full details of exchanges between the two are not yet known.
An official Syrian source reported the president blaming terrorists for violence.
Kofi Annan's officials said he would make clear Syria must now fully respect his six point ceasefire plan.
