Opposition: Syrian government 'has chemical weapons'

The Syrian opposition's envoy to the UN has told the BBC that that the Syrian government has chemical weapons and that the opposition "knew" that they had been used.

Najib Ghadban said as far has he knows the opposition in the country do not have access to such weapons.

Earlier the UK Prime Minister David Cameron said that there is "limited but growing" evidence that Syrian government troops have used chemical weapons.

Mr Ghadban said he welcomed the statement.
