Egypt crisis: Sister 'expects worst' for Irish citizens
Egypt's security forces have cleared a Cairo mosque after a long stand-off with Muslim Brotherhood supporters barricaded inside, state media says.
Footage from Egyptian TV shows protesters being taken out of the building. Many were later arrested.
Four Irish citizens - sisters Omaima Halawa, 21, Somaia, 27, and Fatima, 23, and their brother Ibrihim, 17 - were among the hundreds of people who sheltered in the al-Fath mosque on Friday night.
They are now believed to be in the custody of the Egyptian security forces.
Their sister, Nusaiba Halawa, told the BBC she was worried for their safety and "expects the worst".
