Syria crisis: US considering 'all options' - Hagel

The US is preparing "options for all contingencies" in Syria, the country's defence secretary says.

During a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Chuck Hagel told reporters that his department was considering possible action at President Barack Obama's request.

Both the UK and the US have threatened a "serious response" if it emerges Syrian government forces used chemical weapons last week.
