Anders Fogh Rasmussen: 'Firm response' needed on Syria

Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said that a 'firm international response' was required to deal with the Syria situation.

Speaking on the sidelines of an informal defence ministers' meeting in Vilnius, Mr Rasmussen said he wanted countries to overcome divisions over the Syrian conflict.

His comments come as G20 leaders meet in St Petersburg Russia where the Syria crisis has dominated proceedings despite not being on the official agenda.
