Syria crisis: Russia and US no closer

President Barack Obama has returned to the US from the G20 summit in Russia, which ended without consensus among world leaders on military action against the Syrian government.

Mr Obama will now intensify his efforts to persuade a divided US Congress, and public, to back his call for air strikes in retaliation to President Assad's alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria.
