Kerry-Lavrov talks: 'Committed to working together'

US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov say prospects for a resumption in the Syria peace process are riding on the outcome of their chemical weapons talks.

Mr Kerry, flanked by Mr Lavrov and the UN-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi, told reporters at the UN in Geneva that both countries were deeply concerned about acts being carried out on both sides in Syria and that they were committed to working together.

Mr Kerry and Mr Lavrov say they will meet again in New York toward the end of the month.
