Syrian crisis: 'A lost generation of school kids'

Almost two million Syrian children will not receive any education this year because of the ongoing conflict in the country, the UN's children's charity has claimed.

Figures from Unicef suggest that only 6% of students in Aleppo are in school.

Sunday is the first day of the school year in Syria but many children have been forced to move to escape the violence.

Middle East editor Jeremy Bowen reports from a girls' school in the capital, Damascus, where at least a third of students are thought to have been displaced by the crisis.
