Sponsor Sony urges Qatar World Cup probe

Fifa's decision to award the 2022 World Cup to Qatar is under further scrutiny after it emerged that Sony, a major sponsor, has called for an investigation into claims the process was corrupt.

New e-mails published in the Sunday Times, and seen by the BBC, suggest top-level meetings between the man behind the claims of corruption, Mohamed bin Hammam, and senior officials from the world of football.
